What The Accreditation Means

Being accredited as an Occupational Safety Training Institution by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through its Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) is no small feat. This accreditation affirms that ActiveOne Health has surpassed rigorous standards, thus securing the authority to train and certify participants for completing the 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) program.  It is a testament to its competence and commitment that underscores its expertise in Occupational Safety and Health.

The Journey to Accreditation

Achieving accreditation was a challenging journey, involving numerous revisions to the training manual and countless representations with the certifying body.  Despite the hurdles, ActiveOne’s dedication and perseverance paid off, reflecting their unwavering commitment to delivering top-quality occupational safety training.

Enhancing Services and Standing Out

This accreditation allows ActiveOne to broaden its portfolio of corporate health and safety services, offering top-tier OSH training not just to companies but to individuals as well.  With an ISO certification and a roster of experienced OSH consultants under its belt, ActiveOne provides a level of service that elevates it to above industry standards.

About the Safety Officer Training Program

Empowering Safety Officers

The 40-hour BOSH Training equips participants with the knowledge and skills to implement and oversee Occupational Safety and Health standards in their organizations. Safety Officers play a vital role in raising awareness, ensuring compliance, and preventing workplace risks in partnership with management.  Upon completion of the program, participants shall be conferred an official BOSH Training certificate and thereafter duly recognized as a Level 2 Safety Officer.

Program Details

The training spans five days of eight-hour sessions each, or a compressed schedule over two weekends.  It caters to professionals in most industries who are eager to become Level 2 Safety Officers and OSH advocates.

A Diverse Group of Professionals

The inaugural batch included 23 participants from various disciplines, including healthcare operations, finance, commercial and corporate enabler teams.  Their unique experiences enriched the learning environment and set the stage for a dynamic exchange of ideas.

Overcoming Challenges

Balancing work commitments with the training requirements was no easy task. Participants often had to juggle their professional responsibilities while staying engaged in the sessions. Their determination to complete the program, participate actively in workshops, and excel in the final post-test was nothing short of inspiring.

Feedback and Takeaways

Many participants found the training to be an eye-opener, shedding light on workplace hazards and risks they had previously overlooked. While some topics felt overwhelming, the overall experience equipped them with the knowledge and confidence to address safety concerns in their organizations.

Mr. Christopher Resulto, OSH Supervisor at ActiveOne Health

Reflecting on the training, Christopher Resulto, OSH Supervisor at ActiveOne Health, shared:

"The participants came to realize that one's safety and health does not only apply to the workplace but to our everyday living. Some participants struggled to complete the sessions uninterrupted due to various factors, but in the end they proved to be quite active in the workshops and even excelled in the Post Test."

Christopher’s words highlight not only the dedication of the trainees but also the broader impact of the program in fostering a culture of safety that transcends workplace boundaries.

Looking Ahead

The success of this first batch of graduates is just the beginning of ActiveOne Health’s journey as an accredited Safety Officer training institution.  By empowering individuals to become champions of safety and health, the organization is creating ripple effects that will benefit workplaces, communities, and everyday lives.
